Savings and Lifeskills
Nationwide Education
These programmes are part of Nationwide Education, a free online education resource provided by Nationwide Building Society, aiming to help young people build life skills in money and money management from a young age through to adulthood.
Each of the Savings and Lifeskills programmes progressively builds on the last and both include engaging interactive games, complemented by downloadable fact, work sheets and word glossaries. Topics covered include budgeting, debt, careers, financial documents, investment and risk.
There are also two activities to help students put their knowledge into practice, by choosing the best mobile phone tariff and making an online payment.
The secondary resources have been used to support delivery of an Edexcel BTEC ‘Money and Finance Skills’ qualification for 14-19 year olds (equivalent to half a GCSE).
