Geometer’s Sketchpad is a very useful tool for teaching geometrical concepts in a dynamic and interesting way. The software is primarily aimed at students above Key Stage 3, but is very versatile and could be adapted for use by Key Stage 3 students to enable them to construct and experiment with geometric and algebraic figures. Teachers can also use the program as an explanatory presentational tool. Comprehensive support documentation is provided as well as a dedicated website and the program has additional cross-curricular possibilities.
